How do I Gift Aid?

When purchasing your admission tickets online, you can choose to participate in Gift Aid by ticking the participation box at checkout. This will automatically add a voluntary 10% donation to your purchase and your total transaction will be eligible for Gift Aid. This means that the Charity will receive an extra 25p for every £1 you spend, which will help vital conservation work at no extra cost to you!

Please check your eligibility to Gift Aid when purchasing tickets as a gift for someone else.

You can also choose to participate in Gift Aid when purchasing tickets on the day in our Ticket Office. Please note that tickets purchased with Tesco Clubcard Vouchers are not eligible for Gift Aid.

Does it cost me to Gift Aid my admission?

As a conservation charity we rely on the support of our members, visitors, and sponsors to help care for wildlife and wild places.

If you are a UK Taxpayer, you are eligible to Gift Aid. You can only Gift Aid your admission if you make a voluntary donation with your admission. Gift Aid does not cost you anything other than a small 10% donation of the standard admission. The extra 25p per £1 spent comes from the UK Government Gift Aid Scheme.

Of course, you are not obliged to donate, you can select to pay admission without a donation but the Charity can only claim Gift Aid on admission which has a voluntary donation included due to eligibility criteria from the Government Gift Aid Scheme.
