Back in 2022, our Maintenance Team deconstructed the old viewing area at spotted hyenas, removing parts of the old wooden frame. The new area now features glass panelling directly in front of the habitat, providing an open view into their home.

We have had many successful births with a number of the species who live at Edge of Africa including the L’hoest’s monkey, Kirk’s dik-dik, blue duiker, cheetah, mandrill, spotted hyena and warthog.

We also have an accessible play area located at Edge of Africa called Remi Brown. This play area is great for any child with reduced mobility and is accessible by wheelchair.
